troubadour

A troubadour is a composer and performer — a keeper of song who carried music directly to the listener. Designed in Los Angeles, a city shaped by songwriters, studios, and recorded sound, our Troubadour honors that lineage. It exists to preserve the artist’s intent and deliver the performance with presence, coherence, and truth.

Design Overview
A three-way, high-sensitivity loudspeaker built around a dual concentric field coil driver, supported by a dedicated low-frequency system. The architecture prioritizes coherence, dynamic realism, and room-filling scale with precise tonal balance.
Engineered stands, grilles, and meticulously executed finishes extend the design beyond the drivers. On the rear, dedicated mid and high frequency controls allow room and system matching.
Key Features
Dual Concentric Field Coil Driver
Coherent point-source presentation with exceptional imaging and soundstage
Field Coil Motor System
External energized motor structure for superior flux stability, dynamic control, and transient accuracy
High Sensitivity Design
Compatible with a wide range of amplification, including low-power tube amplifiers
Three-Way Architecture
Seamless integration of low, mid, and high frequencies for full-range performance
Externally Powered System
Dedicated external power supply per speaker for optimized field coil performance
SPECIFICATIONS
(Preliminary / Subject to Refinement)
Note: When measuring loudspeaker sensitivity, we follow the internationally recognized IEC standard methodology. This allows for valid comparisons between different products, and avoids the confusion that arises from alternative non-standard measurement methods.
